Jeep’s Snapchat Lens Blows Your Hair Around Like You’re Driving One
Snapchat’s camera lenses are one of its most popular features, essentially leveraging young selfie culture and turning it into shareable content.
Jeep just debuted its own branded Snapchat lens which puts you behind the wheel of a Jeep. When you raise your eyebrows, your hair blows around your face.
According to Marcie Perez, Jeep brand media and social media manager, Snapchat has reported “they’re seeing that (lenses are) their No. 1 engagement mechanism on the platform,” as reported by Adweek.
Jeep has found Snapchat to be a potent media placement. The brand has also created sponsored geofilters touting the adventures you can only have in a 4x4.
The lens is part of a “Jeep Hair Don’t Care” campaign, a phrase that Jeep owners use to describe their hair flying around. Jeep is running posts on Facebook and Instagram to promote the lens.
